TE, the leader in global connectivity, has announced two standard antennas, the 5GHz antenna for the new IEEE802.11ac standard and the 4G LTE antenna. Two new embedded antennas meet the growing customer demand for smaller, thinner, compact devices.
In addition to customized antenna solutions, TE offers a wide range of standard antennas for different applications. The four new 5GHz antennas offer 5GHz single-band and dual-band (including 2.4GHz) wireless connectivity with cable-connected printed circuit board (PCB) design and stamped metal antennas. The new 4G LTE antenna uses MetaSpan technology to provide greater bandwidth for smaller physical packages, enabling mobile communication networks to upgrade from 3G to 4G.
Key features and benefits of the 5GHz antenna include:
Ultra-thin and compact design 5GHz antenna solution
Enhance the efficiency of media access control and meet the requirements of the IEEE802.11ac standard
Need very little or no matching components
Supported by global production sites to quickly respond to product launches
The main features and advantages of the 4G LTE band antenna include:
Compact antenna design for global 4G network coverage
The antenna solution is smaller in size than traditional methods
A high performance antenna design incorporating TE manufacturing technology and expertise
